Heinz and Aurelia win Mini Blackpool Festival

Heinz and Aurelia Bickers, our top senior couple, continue on their road of success intensively prepared by their coaches Davide and Olga. After finishing 2nd at the Senior II World Championship in Sitges/Spain and having won the DanceSport Grand Prix in Linz/Austria clearly, they took home the trophy at the Mini Blackpool Festival in Kerdriel/Netherland marked first in all the dances by almost every of the 9 highly renowned international judges. Just two weeks before the "original", the British Open in Blackpool/England at the end of May, the Dutch organize a very well attended competition in Kerkdriel, a beautiful tiny city just in the heart of the Netherlands. They cover almost every detail which makes Blackpool so special: the floor size, the Empress Ballroom Orchestra's music and length of play, the lighting, etc. By being so careful in the preparation the whole event attracted 400 competitors from all over the world for the various IDSF events. Heinz and Aurelia dominated the IDSF Sen II competition from the moment they entered the floor in their first round. Well rehearsed and beautifully groomed, like it is Team Diablo style, they showed an excellent performance, a perfect combination of energetic and finest technical dancing but still so elegant, that they danced in a class of their own. We congratulate our two German senior exponents who represent the ideas of Team Diablo in such a successful way.
